Great on My skin...

I began using a new fash wash and within a few days, my face is super-irrated..?

It is red and hot, flakey, and itchy. Also, my eyes are almost swollen shut. Anyone have any suggestions to bring the swelling down and help with my skin?I began using a new fash wash and within a few days, my face is super-irrated..?
Hi,

What kind of facewash? Maybe it's not suitable for your sensitive skin. Try using natural based products, they won't irritate or overdry your skin. Harnn and Thann carry great lines for all skin types, and theres no worry of bad reactions!

Check out there products at

www.thann.caI began using a new fash wash and within a few days, my face is super-irrated..?
that happened to me once, i just put petroleum jelly on my face and drank lots of water.
Stop using it.

  • Will it work if I wash my face...

I read online that it is best to wash your face (using a good facial scrub) with hot water to open my pores, and to close my pores using cold water and blotting it with a clean face towel. Will it work if I wash my face...
no hot water is bad for your skin cold water is actually good for your skin especially if you have acneWill it work if I wash my face...
thats correct. hot water does help open your pores and clean your face.

you don't want to use cold water to wash your face with though.

Should you change face washes once in a while?

My friend told me that you should change face washes once in a while... She forgot the reason why lol.

Is this true? And why should ya???

Thanks you!Should you change face washes once in a while?
Having worked in the personal care industry before, I'm sad to say that there is still no definite answer to this question.

If its working, then obviously there is no reason to change. In fact, any change could cause unwanted irritation and leave you wishing you had done nothing.

However, over time your skin's oils to develop a resistance to your medicated face wash, requiring additional strength (salicylic acid, most likely) or more frequent uses. Personally I recommend against it if you are satisfied with the quality and appearance of your face as it is right now.Should you change face washes once in a while?
i do it to see if it works better than the last one i was using also i've heard that ur face can get used to it and not work as well as when you started out with it
I don't think so. If you have something that works, why change it? ';If it ain't broke, don't fix it.'; I recently changed face washes, just because it was cheaper and I thought I'd try it and face broke out. I'll never make that mistake again. Stick with what works.

Help!! Please!! After applying face wash...?

how long do i have to leave it before rising it for it to be effective ??

Thank YouHelp!! Please!! After applying face wash...?
if its normal facewash (cleanser) you take it off straight away.

If its a mask you normally leave it on for about 10 minutes but it depends.

If you've still got it on rinse it off quickly!! xxxxHelp!! Please!! After applying face wash...?
you don't leave it... you just massage it on your face until you think you've covered it all and are clean, then rinse it off right then.
    Rising what?

    Face wash/ overnight cream?

my face has been having like little pimples lately, and the pores are getting bigger, can you suggest a really good face wash, or a sort of cream or something to leave on overnight...thank youFace wash/ overnight cream?
Do not mess ur face with cream whole night. when you are going to bed, wash your face with good acne face wash.. and gently apply good moisturizer. leave it as it is. Otherwise, pores will be blocked all the time. Face wash/ overnight cream?
Neutrigena Wave and Neutrigena On-the-Spot (together)
I like this neutrogena face wash that comes in a blue bottle. It works well and smells good! Proactiv is good too but it's really expensive.

Face wash made my skin darker.?

    Hi,

I'm black, and recently I used a face wash to clear my skin, but all it did was make it darker.I was wondering is there any way I can reverse the effects, and go back to the original color of my skin. Thanks in advance.Face wash made my skin darker.?
i think there's a product by ambi that can help. you would have to research which one. they have fade creams, stretch mark creams and such.Face wash made my skin darker.?
you'll have to get with Michael Jackson on that one. but make sure he leaves out the ingrediant that makes you a child molestor

With wat is it better to wash face??

is it good to wash face with hot water? or is cold water better?? orr warm? lol tell me wat u thinkWith wat is it better to wash face??
    Warm!

:]With wat is it better to wash face??
washing your face with warm water is the best choice. The warm water opens up your pores so the water can wash out impurities and oils. Hot water dries out your face too much and cause it to tighten. Cold water doesn't open up your pores though it is helpful to wake you up in the morning or keep you awake. :)
Put a cheaper cream like sorbelene or ponds cleaning, and then, fill the basin with warm to hot (not too hot). Get a natural soap from a health shop and apply to your face with the cream on, and then rinse in the water. then use a toner.
well hot water opens your pores to let the soap in. so always wet with hot first. cold water shrinks or closes pores so wash off the soap with cold water.
Warm to cool water is best to wash your face.
I wash my face with warm water and Noxema and my complexion stays pretty nice. Try it !

    Face wash in eye!!!?

specifically it nutrogena oil free acne wash and a bit stuck to my hair and got wiped through my eye. it HURTS LIKE HELL! they say to rinse you eye out with water and ive tried but i just cant keep my eye open. it is mega painful does anyone know what i can do to help it besides the water??Face wash in eye!!!?
I had the same thing happen to me, with more than just that product on different occasions, flush you eye with water preferably in the shower where you can get a constant flow, after that leave your eye closed and try to just rest it. If by morning it still cant be seen through, go to the doctor...

    CheersFace wash in eye!!!?
Douse it with water thoroughly. If it continues seek medical advice. There are antiseptic and pain reliving creams that can be applied.
Flush with cold water for a long time. Don't worry the pain will subside eventually but the best thing to do is keep rinsing with the water.
Fill you sink up with water (make sure the sink is clean) then open your eye and wink under water. This should clean your eye. If it's still hurting the next day see a doctor ASAP
jus as u were told,, rinse ur eyes thoroughly and jus try to forget opening it for a while as u rest,, don't mind the tears, they are jus helping to wash away the oil...it will certainly help..

What should I use after washing face in AM to protect skin and prevent acne?

My dermatologist suggested that I wash my face with cetaphil AM/PM and use differin PM. I'm worried only washing in the morning and using nothing else will not prevent bacteria from entering into my pores. What should I use after washing face in AM to protect skin and prevent acne?
you should def wash your face in the morning.. this is why you apply cream on your face with spf to prevent the dirt also

so in the AM use spf

and pm don't use spfWhat should I use after washing face in AM to protect skin and prevent acne?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
Use a good moisturizer. It should be good, strong, and non-clogging. Some pure oils are good moisturizers. This might seem counter-intuitive, but they are chemical free and help heal acne skin. Many people have seen great results from using them. Some such oils are Jojoba oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Coconut oil. For more information about these specifically and anything else acne related, go to Acne.org. It's a great place!
I use a seaweed toner from the body shop followed by bio- oil... Bio-oil isn't meant for acne necessarily but its been helping me with my pregnancy induced hormonal acne. You could also try tea tree oil.. that leaves your face feeling nice and fresh.
Cetaphil is great, if you wear make-up I'd use a good primer and a mineral make-up.

If you're not using makeup, I'd put some toner and moisturiser on your skin.
    biore ice cleanser is AMAZING

Best face wash for men with combination skin?

just wanted to ask based on your own experience which type of wash you have/are using that is good for combination skin. The problem with mine is that, its good for morning times but after the gym and in the evening, i don't feel the one I'm using currently is cleaning out all the gunk on my face. Thank you very much for your advice and time.Best face wash for men with combination skin?
Shea Moisture's African Black Soap is purifying, gentle, and really clears up skin. Plus, you can use it on both your face and body. You can find it at Target or online. http://www.sheamoisture.com/products/pro鈥?/a>

Another great soap for both your face and body is Dr. Bronner's Hemp Peppermint Liquid Castile Soap. The formulation of this soap is beautiful; it keeps skin clear without being drying, and it literally makes your skin tingly-clean and fresh. You can find Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps at most health food stores or online. http://www.drbronner.com/DBMS/PEP.htm

A combination of these two products keeps my skin absolutely clear.

Oh, and donate your used toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower gel, and soap)! I was thinking that you might want to check out Clean The World ( http://www.cleantheworld.org ) and perhaps send the remnants of your used toiletries to them via Central Care Mission. I'm a big fan of fun bath products, but any that don't suit my fancy, or the last bits of the soap bars, get sent to them to help prevent disease and death in Third World countries.

    Acne face wash??

so, i have used neutrogena wash, olay foaming face wash, dove soap and many others.. but all they do is over dry it...and i have to moisturize it, and then i get more pimples for some reason.. i dont get like huge acne all over my face..i just get like occasional, small pimples.. largely over my forehead..

and i HATE it.. Please, please, please suggest me a good face wash, (with personal experience) tat will get rid of my pimples without over drying it.

    thanks.Acne face wash??
    1. all of those products are sh*t. I've tried them, they've never worked. I've also used Proactive aka. crap.

Here's the best stuff I've ever used. (Including links below)

    1. Aveeno clear complexion cleansing pads. (You can get these at walmart for like 6.99. A bit pricier than some bottled garbage, but it works significantly better.

    also...

    2. LUSH's ';Coalface'; cleanser. I bought it after reading all of the reviews for it, and I can't tell you, it works better than any cleanser i've used before. My face is clear, smooth, tighter pores (except for that time of the month), you'll have to use face moisturizer though, my recommendation from personal use is...

    3. Aveeno Ultra Calming Moisturizing Cream: it's a nighttime based cream, which soaks into your skin at night and you wake up with such soft smooth skin. it also soothes the redness and irritation from washing your face or if you have any other irritations. A bit pricey, but I've had my jar for months now and it's not even close to being finished. A little goes a long way, plus it works really well.

    -also-

with cleaning your face, you first need to wash it with either of the above products and then use a TONER. This is a secret to keeping skin fresh and nice. I use (2) toners, one for the morning and one for the night. My morning toner is..

    - Alba Hibiscus Facial Toner: what i like about this is that theres no harsh chemicals peeling your face off. It's 100% vegetarian, and 82% organic. All natural ingredients sooths and you can also feel it working without the burn of alcohol or other laboratory ingredients.

my nighttime toner is a bit stronger, and chemical'y because it gives my skin a deeper cleaning while I sleep...

    -Sea Breeze Clear Pore Astringent

(all links go in order of the post: this is also a very detailed list of what I have found to work the best, and I've used everything, including; Proactive, Neutrogena Wave %26amp; various other products by them, Clean %26amp; Clear, Cetaphil, St. Ives, Oxy, AcneFree, and Noxzema. In a nutshell? I've used everything %26amp; best products I've used come from the Aveeno line.)Acne face wash??
Cetaphil's facial cleanser should work best for you. It's not overly drying, but it won't clog pores and lead to more break outs. It's dermatologist recommended. I use it when my skin goes to crap.

Use a 1-2% BHA to dissolve oil in your pores, that should be enough to stop zits from forming. Here's a guide to acne control, but if I were you I'd skip the tea tree oil and benzoyl peroxide step. It'll be too much for you. http://juliakazan.blogspot.com/2008/07/g鈥?/a>
As much publicity as it gets, Proactiv can really work. Its usually either a hit or miss though, it works amazing, like it did for me, or it does nothing, like I've seen for some people. Your best bet is to buy one kit, not a subscription to see if it works for you. They also have on oil free moisturizer for dry skin(:
I use the neutrogena wave and its a pad with soap on a machine and I also use Clearasil and its a cream like substance and i also use clean and clear in the shower and its like soap! I also use oxy pads! These products really helps my pimples really good!
The combination of Tea Tree Oil soap and the Clindamycin cream is the best for Acne and pimple. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too.

Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'
Neutrogena oil-free acne face wash sucks but did you try Neutrogena deep clean cream cleanser? If not then you can give it a try!
AcneFree worked pretty well for me. It's specially formulated to not cause redness or irritation.

    http://www.acnefree.com/af
    murad! it awesome
use cetaphil gentle cleanser its great! and cetaphil oilfree face moisturizer
clean and clear daily pore cleanser or the wave both work great!

Good face wash to keep your skin acne free and clean and smooth??

i need an acne fighting daily face wash that helps treat and/or prevent breakouts while making my skin soft and smooth and takes away the oil.Pro-active doesn't work for me and I am currenty using clean and clear acne kit system which is seemingly making me breakout worse.I have been using accutane for the past 7 months and it was working really really well but recently[1-2 months ago]quit the program because my vein was so brusied up from the monthly blood drawls and it was really uncomfortable. So can anyone help me?Good face wash to keep your skin acne free and clean and smooth??
Try a gentle face wash with tea tree oil in it, like the one Trader Joe's sells. I'm sure other places sell it, too, but it's where I get mine. My best friend's dad is a dermatologist, and he said that the problem with most face washes is that they are too harsh and strip your skin of the natural oil it needs. Your body then produces more oil to compensate....and you end up w zits. He said you should never use anything with a BP level that is higher than 4% because it's too much %26amp; will end up damaging your skin. Be sure to wear a light weight moisterizer %26amp; sun block every day. Otherwise, you're face will get dried out %26amp; damaged %26amp; you're acne will get worse.

I use Cetaphil, which is the most gentle %26amp; dr. recommended face wash on the market, every morning %26amp; tea tree oil wash every night, drink loads of water %26amp; Pomegranate juice %26amp; usually have really clear skin. I'm 16......

Also, have you thought about taking birth control? Loads of girls I know take it %26amp; you don't have to do blood work for it, I don't think.

Best of luck!!!!!!!!!!!!Good face wash to keep your skin acne free and clean and smooth??
Accutane?? Is it the stuff that will make people unfertilize? It is bad for you.

I have very oily skin and rough texture. I get some pimples once in a while. I hate my skin so I did a lot of research and found Skinceuticals Retinol 1%. I used it everyday and it smooths my skin. I don't break out anymore and my face is less oily now. It really good, try it!!! It works for me. You might want to start with .5% Retinol (less concentration than 1%) than increase to 1%. This night cream, I thought is more effective than any cleansers that you might find. But read the instruction, don't use retinol if you are planned to be pregnant soon!
Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the acne. Check out http://totalskincare-s.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.
I would try Murad products found at ath and Body Works. It's a little expensive but it definately works for me.

    Oh, the wave. Alot of Neutrogena products have broken me out worse than I was before. And so has proactiv %26gt;_%26gt;

You could try a clean and clear product, their products are gentler.

Because it sounds like you didn't have acne in the first place, you should go for an even gentler cleansing, like a simple face bar. Read the ingredients on everything of course; too many oils and fragrances can cause breakouts.
ok what i do is use the clean and clear daily wash in the shower and then before i go to bed i use the neutrogena daily astringent. i started this routine a few days ago and my face looks sooo much better now! i had problems around my nose and it took every single pimple away! fabulous! and im twelve so ya

    Acne Face Wash Help....?

Hey guys, I have struggled with zits, for at least 2 years. here are some brand i have tried: Biolore[SP],Oxy,Nutragena,Klear(klear is just like ProActive, but less money),Clean%26amp;Clear, and sum other sheeeeet. I amcurrentlyy using Klear Acne kit, with toner, lotion, and face wash. Works great, ran out on the face wash, so i used Oxy Maximum daily wash. its ';okay';. My aunt has Oxy Chill Factor, that's the best! my aunt lives in Florida, i live in chicago, it would be a waste to send the face wash here. so I bought(today) Clearasil [SP] Ultra Daily face wash (im buying the kit soon) is clearasil ultra good? does it work ';INSTANTLY';according to the bottle?

    Thnx.... :-)Acne Face Wash Help....?
You should be able to find that brand in Chicago. It might not be where you usually buy your face wash, but try another store. If you have a Walmart or anything near you, they should have it. Most stores will also special order something for you if you ask.Acne Face Wash Help....?
Get a aloe plant, cut it open and that slimy stuff is great for acne...Seriously...
    go with vitamin E
Go to your dermatologist... you may have a skin disease.

I found out that i did. If you don't go now you may get scars. But I wouldn't recommend taking any pills because it limits you from doing many things and could cause some serious health risks.

1.To avoid getting scars and to get rid of acne quickly ; go to your local GNC (or any other place that sells herbs, vitamins and minerals) %26amp; buy something with ';colloidal silver'; and there will probably be pills that have ';omega %26amp; fish oil'; These are natural and work miracles with your skin AND hair.

    2. While in the shower or tub get a warm wash cloth and press it gently against your acne- then do your normal skin routine.

3.If you want to know a really good brand that i SERIOUSLY recommend try dermatological.

I used to have bad skin issues and did all of the above and have perfect skin, plus my mom is a dermatologist.

I hope i helped and wish you well ♥

    Good face wash for men?

I am 15 years old, and I have oily skin. I also have a lot of blackheads on my forehead. But you cannot really see them until you tighten the skin on your forehead... If you understand what I mean. As well, I have little amounts of blackheads on my cheeks, and my chin and nose have lots of black dots on them, which are probably black heads. I don't really have a acne problem, because I hardly get red bumps, usually 2-3 a week. But the red bumps are just the infected blackhead. But usually I just pop them and then put spot treatment on it, and after a day they are gone. I was wondering what is a good face wash for oily skin and blackheads. A face wash that will dry my skin as well as get rid of the blackheads on my face and prevent blackheads from occuring. I am worried that one of these days every bump will get infected and I will have a real bad acne problem. I already have a good exfoliant, its called the Clean %26amp; Clear Blackhead Eraser. But I can only use that every other night as it can irritate my skin if I use it two consecutive nights. Although, I like the Eraser because in the morning the blackheads are small and hardly visible. But then after my shower in the morning they are visible again. I don't think I get so many blackheads because of the way I eat, as I drink 2 L of water a day, and I hardly eat fast foods. I also eat lots of fruits and nuts for the vitamins that I read help the skin. I also play a lot of sports, and I read that sweating is good to clean out the pores... Is that true? Thank you for your answers.Good face wash for men?
I reccomend Yonka products for men, it is a bit spendy but has done a lot for my skin and my boyfriend's skin.

We both have blackhead problems and it works like magic.

I use the foam gel, it is awesome.

As far as sweating is good for the skin, that is not correct. The sweat goes back into the pores and clogs them even more.

Carrots, oranges, any orange fruit or vegetable is good for the skin because it contains Vitamin A. I DO NOT recommend taking Vitamin A supplements because it can eventually lead to liver disease.

Be sure to wash your face once a day with a mild cleanser that does not irritate your skin, find one that you can use every day.

    Good luck!

What face wash should I try now?

Ive used Proactive for about.. 4 years now, I decided in June to try something new, so I got Vichy Normaderm. Used it up until September, because it did nothing but give me a TON of zits. Ive gone back to proactiv, and not getting as many zits (more whiteheads) but the reason i wanted to try something new was because i didnt like how proactiv made my skin look, it was very uneven, and blotchy. Now, when I used just the practiv cleanser, im fine- if i use the toner, my face goes RED where ever i put it on (i can see outlines by my hairlines) and stings and feels hot- and when i use the mositurizer, it makes my face feel really greacy. Also about halfway thru the day, my face feels gross and greacy. What should I do? I dont think I should keep using proactiv- should i try Vichy again? (i will admit, i wasnt using it correctly i guess- your supposed to do the cleanser and the cream every time, and i only used the cream when my face was dry) Or does anyone know of something else I should try (reasonably price- and available in canada??)

Thanks! What face wash should I try now?
try Clearasil Ultra face wash you can buy it anywhere like walmart, cvs, etc. and it clears up skin in 3 days or less

    worked for me!

:DWhat face wash should I try now?
Try the Clean and Clear Advantage line
seems like you have very sensitive skin.

    Neutrogena face wash?

My face has looked terrible for about a year. My pores are filled with this nasty gunk all the time, and my face is always broke out now. The only thing that seems to help is my salicylic acid cream that I apply after washing and moisturizing.

I have been using Liquid Neutrogena for a while, and I have realized that I started using it around the time my face started breaking out. Has anyone else ever had this same problem with this product?

My skin is combination, and I have very large pores. I can only afford drugstore products, and I only like facial cleansers that don't have any added medicine in them, because I already have a salicylic acid treatment I use after cleansing. Any suggestions? Thanks!Neutrogena face wash?
I actually had some issues with that when I was just using the cream cleanser. I switched to the foaming grapefruit and it worked great, but left me a little dry. Now, I alternate between the 2 daily and it's been working great. Also, I get the pursa gel 10 spot stuff for whatever acne I already have. It works awesome, but you can only use it for a day or two, otherwise the benzoyl peroxide will dry out your skin. I've also has pretty good luck with St. Ives stuff.Neutrogena face wash?
Its a little expensive but look for Burt's Bees Garden Tomato complexion soap. Its strangely cleansing and moisturizing at the same time. It's a big bar and lasts a while. Don't use the Neutrogena soap with any other products except moisturizer, and don't use it daily. I only use it if I am extremely oily and broken out to dry up my skin. You could also try alternating days between salicylic acid and other astringents, like witch hazel. Witch hazel is really gentle and cleansing and tightens your pores.
I've always been a fan of Proactiv!

What face wash, toner and moisturiser should i use for my skin?

I have combination skin with a lot of blemishes and a few pimples and i was wondering what would be the best face wash, toner and moisturiser i can use. Right now i am using biore ice clenser or something along those lines as my clenser, witch hazel as my toner, a tea tree cream from the organic shop that is pretty oily at night and a tea tree cream for oily skin during the day but i feel that it is not helping my skin as much as it did during the first few weeks that i did that regime. are there any suggestions as to what i can use? but please dont recommend proactive, clean and clear or clearisil because they are to harsh on my skin. What face wash, toner and moisturiser should i use for my skin?
You said not to reccomend Proactiv, yet people still do...Frustrating.

It is way too harsh for my skin too. The reason why those are too harsh is because they have Benzoyl Peroxide. Avoid any products with that in it.

I have the same skin type as you and I use Murad's Acne line but if your acne isn't as prevelant I also reccomend his other lines such as his normal/combination skincare line. His big thing is using soothing and hydrating products and I've been satisfied with everything I've purchased that is Murad.

I also like Clinique's Moisturizing GEL (not the lotion) and Moisture Surge for moisturizers and Clinique's Spot Healing Gel for stubborn and painful pimples that happen every so often. It's a really good product for preventing them from getting bigger and more noticable and just getting rid of pimples in general.

    Hope this helps!

-JenWhat face wash, toner and moisturiser should i use for my skin?
if you have sensitive skin i highly suggest NOT using proactive i've used that in the past and my skin was very dry... didn't help at all... i stick to noxzema than i use an olay oil free lotion... at night after washing my face i don't put the lotion on... butt.. i put just a dab of toothpaste and leave it on overnight.. it seems to bring down swelling =] hope that helped!
Proactive is the best if you use it correctly and everytime
I recommend a skin care line called PCA Skin (Physician's Choice of Arizona) to all of my clients. It's a fantastic line with high quality ingredients, but it is on the pricier side. However, it works. I would suggest the Oily/Problem Facial cleanser, the Smoothing Toner, and Protecting Hydrator Plus SPF 25 for day, and either Clearskin or ReBalance (depending on your level of clogging) for night. You could also try one of their trial kits to see if you like the products as well.

Check them out at http://www.pcaskin.com, and you can purchase their products at http://www.dermstore.com.

    Hope this helps!

  • Gentler face wash? (using Phisoderm)?

I use Phisoderm anti-blemish gel facial wash. I don't have bad acne, just some on my chin. I like this face wash because it keeps my face clear or anymore acne and help get rid of some i already have, however, if i miss even one day of washing my face, my skin dries out and breaks out. Does anyone have any suggestions of gentler face washes that will completely clear my face, but isn't so strong that i'll break out if I forget to wash my face even once?

thanks :)Gentler face wash? (using Phisoderm)?
neutrogena works really well for acne-prone skin.

also, my friend used clean and clear and her face is like, so totaly flawless.Gentler face wash? (using Phisoderm)?
Cetaphil works very well for me
proactive its great but u have to wash your face and use the night time cream

    Face wash issue?

Is it better to use an exfoilator at night or in the morning?Face wash issue?
well, you should wash your face when you wake up and before you go to bed. because when you wake up your face has a bunch of oils from when you were sleeping and throughout the day more oils/dirt get on your face, which is why you should wash your face before you go to bed too.Face wash issue?
exfoilator??? at night to insure the redness from the exfoiation is gone by morning but a face wash should be used both in the morning and at night hope i helped
    better to use at night
    Night
I exfoliate at night. Although if you are exfoliating your face it should be with a gentle enough exfoliant that you could use it anytime of the day and not risk redness. Stay away from any product containing nut shells, or anythinf synthetic that fells like its scratching your face..it should feel good, not sting!

On the other hand, if you are exfoliating your body you can use a harsher product. I would either do it at night before bed..followed by a rich moisturizer or a few hours before you go out.
Better to use it at night then use a good face lotion or cream to let your face recover from not only the exfoliation but from everything the day dishes on your skin (stress, environmental issues, dirt, etc.)

    Best Brands for face wash?

Im looking for a good face wash so what's the best brand out of these choices

    Clean and Clear

    Clearasil

    neutrogenaBest Brands for face wash?
clean and clear is the best i've used. neutrogena is good too. clearasil dried my skin.Best Brands for face wash?
i use mary kay but i also use neutrogena alot. BUT! you gotta here this the best thing ever for your face! and im not lying! use whatever brand of face wash you so feel like and then add baking soda to it it gives it an exfoliation which cleans your pores deeper than any face wash whether it says its exfoliating or not this works best! for acne or oily skin or normal skin. if you have dry skin and you use it use a really good moistureizer. but i think the soduim in it has something to do with the clearing up skin.
Out of those I would say Neutrogena. Clean and Clear breaks me out every single time. However, if you want a good and cheap cleanser, the Fruits%26amp;Passion Pomegranate Cleanser is the best. It's cheap, it's so good. It cleans your pores right away. When I use it, it gets rid of my redness right away, even while I'm washing my face I can see it. Hope I helped!
everybody's skin is different, so it's hard to say.

but i would say to invest in clinique. they have different levels so it's easy to like personalize it. i also recommend biore.

and i think all of those companies test on animals :/
Clean and Clear is supposed to be very good. Personally, I recommend Nivea and Avene..both are very good.
    I'd say clearasil ultra :)
I LOVE Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating, its blue. I think they have a citrusy one for acne too.
    neutrogena
    neutrogena definitely
    neutrogena
    Neutrogena!!!!!!!

I like their Oil-Free Acne Wash.
I use clearasil, but i also use this stuff called St. Ives and that works even better so u shoul try it!!
Clean %26amp; Clear or Neutrogena are both pretty good.

Clearasil isn't that great, it dried my face out.
    mary kay cleanser and mousterizer
    clerasil pads

    Eye irritation from face wash?

I don't know what you are using?? Is it the fumes?? Or maybe you are getting too close to your eyes, don't wash too close to your eyes, if that doesn't work then change to something a little milder for your face.

    Good luck..

My son has to wash his face everytime something touches it how can I get him to stop doing this?

This sounds like a sign of obsessive-compulsive disorder. I would call his pediatrician and ask!My son has to wash his face everytime something touches it how can I get him to stop doing this?
i cant stand people that says how old is he?? if they read the top they will know my gosh.take him to the doctor. Report Abuse
My son has to wash his face everytime something touches it how can I get him to stop doing this?
Yeah, people just didn't read the additional details. Report Abuse

He could simply be mimicking what he's seen at school.

Don't jump to the shrink yet...see if it passes. If he hasn't quit in 3 months (or if he's been doing this for 3 months or longer), talk to your DOCTOR first.

All of these stupid psychiatric diagnosises are being put on children WAYYYYYY too young, IMO.
At the first place I would like to ask whats the age of you son,,, may be that would be helpful for some one to answer your question.
Kids go through stages that we as parents must cope with. For so reason your son face is a comfort zone for him and when people touch it he feels violated. All you can do is let people know that your son doesn't like his face to be touched. It is easier to controll others behavior towards him than to change what makes him comfortable.
It is a normal compulsive act. Many do this when they are young and find out about dirt and germs. Sometimes this goes on for a long time after childhood. Basically they don't want to be dirty or get germs from things they have touched in their mouth.
Yes, it could be obsessive compulsive or a mild phobia.

Do see your pediatrician, hopefully he will outgrow it.

Sometimes a child can interpret a contagion where there is none, i.e. frogs give warts.

The Listerine ads alone are enough to frighten a child half to death. That bacteria looks really scare to me......
why the **** are you complaing most parents would kill to have a hygenic son
I'd have him evaluated by his pediatrician. (S)he'll probably give you certain behaviors to look for if he's bordering on obsessive-compulsive.

    Best of luck!
First of all is he 3 years old and just getting attention by doing this? or is he older and suffering from OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) in that case you family doctor can help
I have OCD and have many obsessions with things. Wiping my face was one, but as I grew older the need to do it faded.( I hardly think about it anymore) It might just be a phase, but if he is diagnosed with OCD, please be patient and understanding with him. My mom used to yell at me for some of the things I did and it would make me feel stupid. Even now as an adult when I do my ';routines'; I feel like an idiot. Just take it one day at a time. Good luck
Sounds like OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) He probably can't help the things he is doing....I would recommend talking to his pediatrician who can recommend a therapist....if he stops these habits now...he will maybe never have to worry about them in adulthood. Good luck!
I'm 23 and do the same thing. I've never been ';evaluated'; as the behavior has never kept me from functioning normally. I think it may run in the family because my Dad used to have alot of obsessive compulsions as a kid and teen. I have several as well... the biggest ones are washing my face after I touch food, or any item I deem ';soiled, or dirty'; and also washing my face if said things touch it or after coming inside from outdoors. When we first started dating, my husband though it was very curious, so he bought me a diaper bag sized container of baby wipes as well as a small, refillabel hand sanitizer bottle. I'd take them with me EVERYWHERE at first. They were so convenient because I didnt have to look for a sink while we were out. Over time I would learn to ration my wipes and sanitizer... I didnt want to run out if the occasion called for either one. So, I learned to get over touching some normal things without having to wash, like flowers, leaves, door handles, walls, etc... I have a 20 month old son, so I still take the wipes and santitizer with me just in case. but I've learned to be in control of my compulsive behavior, instead of letting it take over my life and normal day to day activities. I was surprised that most people replied by urging you to take your son to a doctor or some sort of therapist. Like I said, I know for a fact that I have OCD, but thanks to my parents and husband and their support and help, I have learned to get a handle on it instead of being ridiculed, outed, or ';medicated'; because of it. So, you know your son best... if his normal activities or relationships are suffering because of his obsessive compulsive behavior, then that's when I would consult a professional. Otherwise, offer him some alternatives like wipes or sanitizer, and tell him that he should not do it in too much excess or when it's not really necessary. I have heard of cases when too much waching can cause peeling or excessive dryness of the skin . Watch out for those signs and remember, it might just be another phase, he's still pretty young and may just be concerned about his surroundings, like what you said about his fear of poisons before. Good luck and best wishes to both of you!!!
It could be OCD and you really can't stop it, sorry.
ITS called OCD.. I have it and I know what your son is going through. Yes it will be hard to get him stop it, but I recommed that you take him to a doctor, and get it checked out. The longer you leave it the worse it will get. Trust me its a real hard thing to go through and I wish that i had of gotten help sooner
Your son is into obsessive behaviour, and you need to see your Doctor about it, at once!!

He is exibiting signs of something, and what ever it is, that stressed him into this type of behaviour, either sexual abuse, or mental abuse or other type of physical abuse in nature, he needs to talk it over with a qualified child phycologist...

Or, if some one died who he was close to, he will also exibit this type of activity, until he talks it out with some one...

    I wish you well..

    Jesse
Your son may be suffering from OCD. It is a compulsive disorder he as no control over. This is a emotionally painful disorder for your child, and yelling or demanding won't help. Talk to your doctor and get some support. Usually, there are other things that are contributing factors and counseling and medication could help. Does he have a hard time focusing, is it impossible for him to sit quietly for longer periods of time, does he start projects and can't finish them? - Start with your doctor, have patience and don't continually draw attention to something he is already painfully aware he has. Good Luck!
Your son is showing signs of a condition called OCD. Obsessive compulsive disorder. This is a very serious, but highly treatable problem. It is not one that should be ignored, because reasearch has shown that the earlier individuals recieve treatment the better.

Treatment includes counseling, behavior modification techniques, and sometimes medication.

What you should not do is try to make your son stop by pressuring him, or demanding it. Ask him why he is doing what he is doing--- usually people dealing with OCD have some sort of unrealistic fear behind the behavior, and he may be embarrassed to tell you. Tell him that you understand that something is behind what he is doing and he can talk to you about it. I have a feeling that your son is very smart?

He knows that what he is doing is abnormal, and likely can;t help himself. He needs to know that you don't think he is weird or wrong, and that you are trying to understand.

Most importantly, get some professional support, for your son and yourself. If you really are dealing with OCD, then you are going to need support for yourself while you help your son. It is a confusing, and frustrating condition, but you can work through it.

Good luck to you and your son.

    PIMPLES

Pimples is a unique skin disorder.Pimples are lesions that occur when the skin鈥檚 pores are obstructed or infected. They can form for a variety of reasons. However, the mechanism involved in causing some pores to collapse and block drainage of natural oils is not really understood. Pimples may also crop up for genetic reasons. It is not clear how it can be inherited from one鈥檚 parents, but studies do indicate a high occurrence of pimples in children whose parents had it,too.

The pimples associated with adolescence almost certainly occur because of hormonal changes that take place during puberty. Both males and females get an overdose of the male hormone testosterone during this period, causing excessive generation of sebaceous fluids that invariably cause pimples.

GIVEN BELOW ARE A FEW SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES TO FIGHT PIMPLES.

1.The most basic form of pimple prevention is hygiene and preventive skin care. Regular washing of the affected areas with mild soap is a must. The soap need not necessarily contain any chemicals designed to prevent pimples .However, face washing should not be overdone or the skin will become dehydrated .

2.Care should be taken on makeup, moisturizers and other skin care products. If these products are oil based,it would just make the problem worse. Use water based products instead.

3.Generally we rub, press or squeeze our pimples.Don鈥檛 when we do this,we risk spreading the bacteria to other areas.

4.Lemon juice diluted in water can be applied externally because of its antiseptic

    quality.

5.Tea Tree oil can also be applied directly to infected pores.

6.Vitamin A tablets are also a natural and effective cure. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin.

7.Before bathing, apply a mixture of fresh tomato pulp, honey and rose-water to your face and keep for twenty minutes before washing off.

8.Juice of raw papaya is the best treatment for pimples.Apply fresh juice of raw papaya on pimples and get a good result.

9.Directly rub potato slices all over the face, helps to get rid of blemishes and

    pimple scar.

10.Drink plenty of water and vegetable or fruit juices.

11.Use cucumber or other fruit and vegetable packs to cure pimple scars.

12.Maintain a diet that is rich in cottage cheese, salads, fresh juices, fish and

yogurt. These help to cleanse your system and ward off pimples.

13.Another overnight home remedy for pimples is to put a dab of toothpaste on it to help dry it out. Calamine lotion also will have the same drying effect.

14.Pound orange peel with water and apply to affected areas.

15.Another useful remedy for pimples is zinc. Which can be taken in a dose of 50 mg daily for a month and then reduce the dose.

16.You can clean your skin with apple cider vinegar as an overnight home pimple remedy.

17.Aspirin contains Beta hydroxy acid which is a powerful defoliant ,so you can crush 1to 2 Aspirin tablets mix with a little water and apply on pimples for 15 minutes and wash.

Finally, certain medications may temporarily alter the hormonal changes prevalent during adolescence and cause pimple outbreaks. If this is the case, a simple adjustment in medication may be all that is required.
I have had the same problem for years and have tried everything. I mean everything!!! I recently gave, Acne Free, sold at Wal-mart a try. It is supposed to be better than Proactive, which I could not afford. Acne Free is about $18 and it works, in less than 1 week my face was no longer red and within 2 weeks I had no spots.

I tried Apricot scrub before and it did not work. It just made my oily face more oily.

Go get it now!! You will not regret it.

    Face Scrub

    Clinique 7-Day Scrub Cream

These both won allures best of 07
    Hi!

I actually found a facial oil that dissolves black heads within 4-8 weeks I put all the info on my blog as it's quite detailed:

    http://beautymoi.blogspot.com/

I also put a full article of how to extract blackheads and steam your skin.

Black heads are basically a hardened oil mixture that was secreted from your pores and oxidized (which makes the outside part black) and since water and oil don't mix, no water based product can ';clean'; your blackheads away, just try say putting certain foundations or makeups on the mirror and if you wipe it with water it smudges all over but put a little baby oil and wipe and tada! it comes off super clean AND dissolves it. So this is basically how this oil works. It's composition is such that the skin accepts it as a healing oil and it does not clog your skin but rather protects it while the plant extracts inside go down into the pores (this absorption is made possible by applying the toner to the skin before applying the oil and then applying the dabs of oil over your moistened face), it then penetrates into the pores.

I put where to the name of the oil and prices in stores versus on eBay as well as how to apply it on my blog:

    http://beautymoi.blogspot.com/

    Take care and good luck!

Try any of Neutrogena's face washes.. they've worked wonders for me!

Also, try using Proactiv. I used it for a while, and it helped with redness and keeping my skin's oil level balanced throughout the day.
I got very good results with the program I've been using for the past 5 or 6 years. After about 40 years of bad skin and trying everything under the sun - I'm finally acne-free, have a much more even skin tone, and have reduced the fine lines and superficial scarring.

Mix white sugar and olive oil to make a deep conditioning exfoliant.Make sure you do this first, and that your careful to get all the olive oil off fast.

Then try Neutrogena acne stress control, because it clears breakouts before they even pop up.

After that, apply a mask of honey to clean dry skin.It will clear scars and honey is naturally antibacterial, without all the harsh chemicals which aren't good for your skin.

Lastly, squeeze out the juice of a cucumber and apply it with your face and sleep with it.Its a great oil controller, and it clears breakouts and scars really well, not to mention makes you glow.

AVOID VEGETABLE OIL.It unbalances your hormones and causes bad breakouts.

Drink plenty of water to clean toxins from your body, and a few glasses of milk a day makes your skin grow.

Start taking a multivitamin,or eating a breakfast cereal like Cheerioes and Honey bunches of oats because there packed with vitamins and minerals.

Eat alot of fruits and vegetables, and meat for Zinc, which clears your skin really well.

The food will also help you lose weight and rid your body of toxins.

    So,all in all,you win :)

The vitamins are also great for hair and nails.

    Hope this helps!!
If a face wash isn't working try benzyl peroxide,

    Allergic reaction to face wash.?

The other day I used a new face wash that my mom had bought for me. The next day I had a rash all over my arms and legs. I now have it all on my face, and my whole face and neck is burning up.

Should I see a doctor? or will they just tell me to use benadryl?

How can i make this go away?Allergic reaction to face wash.?
don't use this product or any other with the same ingredients until you figure out what is causing your rash...yes benadryl will relieve the itch and rash...but find out what caused the reaction so you will not have it again....

    When to wash face?

I don't have time to wash my face in the morning because i have to get ready for school (please don't suggest waking up early) so can i wash it at 4 pm and then at 11 pm (when i go to bed? Will it be bad for my face? When to wash face?
I don't think it would be bad. I wash my face late at night. A little tip: if you have REALLY bad acne, cut down on junk-food!When to wash face?
I wash my face morning and night. I wake up at 6:45 for school and it onyl takes one minute to wash my face, 1 minute or less.
Wash as needed, sometimes just a am rinse is enough. I, do a pm wash, moisture, good night sleep.
well the only thing i can say is if you dont have time to wash your face in the morning (which takes like 1 min. or maybe even less of your time) deep clean your face before you go to bed, your face will still be fresh.just dont forget to brush your teeth!
    no it wont then wash @ 4 %26amp; 11
You should wash your face at least twice a day. And why can't we suggest you wake up 2 minutes earlier to take good care of the only skin you've got?
if u cant wash ur face in the morning, wake up early and do it. lol

  • Whats a good Face wash?

my skins breaks out on my nose, cheek bones whats a face wash that could get rid of this problem without drying my skin out or making it super oilyWhats a good Face wash?
I use Neutragena's facial bar soap for acne prone skin. It works really well for me. But, washing your face isn't the only thing you can do to get rid of acne. You must exfoliate. If you don't exfoliate, your dead skin cells can fall in to your pores, and actually cause more acne. So, the main thing is to get a routine that you can do every single morning, and every single night. This routine should include in this order, wash, exfoliate, toner, and a moisturize. Well, actually you should only exfoliate about 2-3 times a week, but everything else you should be doing twice a day. Good luck!Whats a good Face wash?
Aveda Purifying Gel cleanser. Lather makes good products too. Epicuren is good but very expensive.

Avoid scam products like what you find at ULTA or Bath and Body Works.

Cheap alternatives? : Try a glycerine soap like Nutrogena and don't use moisturizers that clog your pores. Mineral Oil is NOT your friend

Trader Joes make a great liquid face soap made in small batches. I forgot the name of it, but it's French
I had horrible issues with my skin, for years until I discovered Dove bar of soap for sensitive skin. then, as a moisturizer I use Johnson's %26amp; Johnson's baby cream (the pink stuff). You smell like a baby for a few minutes but then it disappears - promise! Anyway, it doesn't contain oils I think, and it's really light. I no longer have any problems with my skin! You could give that a try.
I don't know where you live but when I was young I used Apri Facial Scrub. It came in a tube with a buffing pad to apply it with and rinse with clear cold water. It was wonderful. Hope you have it. It is made with Apricot extracts and that helps to keep you moisturised but clean.

    Cheers

Clinique makes a really good antibacterial acne soap. It's in a bar form and light green in color. It's a little hard to obtain since it's so popular, but it's worked wonders for me, and I have stubborn acne and very oily skin.Whats the best face wash ??
    acnee free or proactive!!!
    Dermalogica Daily microfoliant

I started to use it and its great i would recommend it to anyone

    Its the best
if you want something form a drugstore buy clean and clear continuous control cleanser with the clean and clear advantage oil-free moisturizer. if you have oily skin use both in the morning and at night. if you have combination or dry skin use only at night and apply the moisturizer in the morning. dont use bad makeup! for oily skin use powder. liquid foundation and oily skin just dont work well together. an awesome powder is physicians formula mineral loose powder. it soaks up unwanted oil and helps sensitive and acne prone skin. but the last thing you want to do is put loose powder on dry skin. dry skin needs to be hydrated throughout the day. use physicians formula mineral liquid makeup. it also helps sensitive and acne prone skin. another thing you can do with any kind of skin type is go with all natural cleansers. try zyporex, its all natural and just for acne. it gives you a really clean feeling. natural can be the best thing because it doesnt contain harsh chemicals that can irritate your face rather than help.
Borba. It's my new fav! It is expensive, but worth it. I have been using it for over a month now and didn't break out once during my time of the month, which is usually a problem! You can buy it at Sephora, but I ordered it online from Beauty.com
the clinque face wash is amazing i use it everyday and it works sooo well=]
I don't believe in spending more than $5 on facewash and Neutrogena has kept my face clean for almost 5 years... my face was a mess whenever I used anything else (clean %26amp; clear, clearisil, noxema, etc).

it depends on your skin type, if you don't know go to a/your dermatologist and find out. sometimes store bought face washes aren't good enough,

If you don't care about price, i recommend clinque products. You sound like me so you're skin level is 3. do what i did, go to macy's and then go to a a clinque table and talk to the representative about your skin, she'll set you up with products.

If you want drugstore, Biore is defiantly gentle so use a cleanser and an oil free moisturizer. Or buy any anti acne cleanser but use an oil free moisturizer to help you skin from drying out, Biore has good ones.

don't use Proactiv, its effective but harsh.

Good Luck!!Help with choosing face wash!?
Maybe you should choose Chlorella Gel Cleanser. Most cleansers use surfactants to clean oil. It works very well on skin surface. But it can not go inside pores and the pores could still be clogged with oil. Chlorella Gel Cleanser works in a different way. It uses food algae to absorb and to dissolve oil. Chlorella Gel Cleanser can clean sebum or dirty out of skin pores, and then remove pimples. Most students can get ride of pimples in less three days.
you should get a wash with salicilic acid in it (at least 2%), like the pink neutrogena liquid facial soap. also, use a mask with clay in it or mint (like mint julip mask) 2-3x a week to keep the oilies under control. the 2x a week should keep u oil free all week, while the mint or clay keep your face fresh, not dry

well, i have found that hydrogen peroxide works well when generously applied and left on for 10-15 minutes. Its fast too. afterwards the pimples will turn white for about 5 minutes then go away. then i put on proactive sulfur skin drying paste thing.
ive tried several things and the only thing that works decently is the AcneFree 3 step system. you can also try out there severe system depending on how bad yours is.
    l'oreal's skin genesis (its pink)

ive been using it for a year already and it works well and smells good lol

    it can remove makeup too

Use Face Wash or Face Scrub first ??

I use the Nivea For Men, Double Action Face Wash, and Energizing Face Scrub.

and just wondering when i use these which should go first ?

the scrub or the wash ?

Help please ? thanksUse Face Wash or Face Scrub first ??
I would use the scrub first to loosen everything, then wash, use a toner, then a moisturizer.Use Face Wash or Face Scrub first ??
i wash then scrub. your wash away the dirt first so you don't scrub %26amp; spread the dirt into your pores and all over you face.

dont forget to your forehead to your neck .
it doesnt relly matter but i would go for the scrub first so it scrubs then washes so thats just how i do it
you need to use the face wash first, to get all the initial dirt and grime off your face. then you use the scrub to get that dead layer of skin off. and i always use face wash again to be sure to get all the dirt, grime, dead skin, and scrub off.
you want to wash all the loose makeup or oil off your face first. Then the scrub is used to exfoliate. By using the scrub first, you are just bringing the dirt into your pores. Start with a clean face before you scrub.
First, use the Face Wash to clean the dirt on your face, then use the Face Scrub to exfoliate the dead skin... and of course if you have moisturizer then put your cream on last.

When you wash ur face is ur whole face suppose to be dry or just ur zits?

Your whole face because you never know when other pimples will come so its better to dry your whole face! I do it all the time and it works for me! Just whatever you do, use your hands to wash your hands, not a towel! Good luck! I hope my answer really helped you! When you wash ur face is ur whole face suppose to be dry or just ur zits?
I only wash the wrinkle I sit on and my zits....sometimes my beard, but that is only when I get pizza stuck in it. nmWhen you wash ur face is ur whole face suppose to be dry or just ur zits?
If you are using the right kind of soap on your face, then only your acne should be drying up. Do not ever use bar soap on your face, it makes it dryer than the Sahara in July. Find a soap that is made specifically for your face/neck. I've used St. Ives for years and am very happy with the results. If you don't like one, try another until you find one that suits you.
dry as in patting your face dry with a towel or dry as in the fasewash dried out that area of skin?
Your face is supposed to be clean with no oil but not dry. It's hard to find a balance with breakouts. I like to wash, then use an astringent (witch hazel is fine) apply with cotton ball. Treat blemishes with benzoil peroxide. (clearasil) I apply an oil free moisturizer in the am. I try not to use any foundation. That really helps.
most cleansers ur whole face will be dry because its supposed to be used for the whole face but if u gave liek the proactiv refining mask its not
your entire face that way you don't have new zits forming. no wonder why your face is breaking out. cleanse everyday and night before you go to bed to remove all dirt and such. use a good toner. moisturizer, gentle soap like dove for sensitive skin. don't use soap with perfumes it is bad for your skin. good luck.
The real issue is if the bacteria that causes acne and white heads is present or absent. My sister actually did me a service by telling me that if I touch a part of my face, to wash it there again. It doesn't have so much to do with whether your skin is oily, but if the bacteria is there, or not. Keep your hands washed, too.

Use warm to hot water when you can, but yes if you overdo washing, you'll have dry skin and acne too.

Another sister used to steam her face. She would boil a pot of water on the stove and then drape a towel over her head facing the steam for a few minutes. She said that opened her pores, and then she would wash and sometimes swab her face with Ten o six lotion.

I took this kind of advice in my teens whenever possible. I would steam my face when I also worked in restaurant jobs where we would sometimes have steam, and if I got a puff of steam, like off the dishwasher, or the stove I would often stick my face in it, knowing it was helping my pores relax and breathe. Do it right though, don't burn yourself.
Usually, you are supoosed to make sure you have your face wet before you wash it and make sure you dry it well after you wash it.

    Best face wash?!?

Does proactive work? I dont want to waste my money on it so yeah. This is may face

my brother uses the Nivea one and his skin is near to perfect. so i'd suggest that one. there's not so many harsh chemicals or perfumes in Nivea products as there is in L'oreal. It's made for more sensitive skin. so less chance of skin reactions and stuff. T-Zone Gel Wash is still the best though i think http://backoffice.p2ulive.co.uk/Uploads/鈥?/a> not just for girls either, the advert had a guy on it. but other than that, id choose the Nivea one if i were u.Which Face wash is better?
I just bought the L'Oreal, and have used it for a week. So far I like it. Make sure you also use a face moisturizer when you are done washing, b/c your face will still be dry (regardless if the soap says you will be moisturized). Nivea makes great moisturizers, I definately recomend those. I think its called ';Q lotion'; or something.
Id say neither, the clean and clear non shine stuff is the best i have used!

Cleans, and leaves no shiny skin, but get the moisturiser as well!

Its 2 for something in boots :)

Talk to somebody in the shop, and they will tell you what to get for what you need!
What i would really recommend is St. Ives Apricot Scrub invigorating for all skin types. I used this and my skin never felt softer and smoother and it really makes your skin look healthier and smells good to haha.

    Organic Face Wash?

I have been getting into organic products latley and i was just wondering what is a really good organic fash wash that i can use? I have combination skin with the occasional breakout (which im going through right now). I also have a lot of scars and redness left over from previous acne. My skin is pretty sensitive so anything that can work with my skin type would be great! thank you so much! =)

Also if there are any other organic products you could show me such as hair products, sunscreen, lotion, ect. that work good please tell me about them! thnx!Organic Face Wash?
Avalon Organics is my favorite 鈥?other great ideas %26amp; organic products at discount prices can be found at peacehut.com as well as Home Made Natural Skin Care Tips.

There are great homemade products for every skin type using ingredients you can find in your kitchen. You can also find many organic facial products at your local health food store if you prefer not to shop online.

A daily skin care routine as well as time for yourself is important for a clear complexion: get plenty of rest, eat healthy, Drink 64oz of water daily and try not to stress too much, all of this will help your skin.

Cleanse, Steam, Massage, Mask, Exfoliate, Tone, Moisturize

    Daily Skin Care Routine:

    1) Place a steamy towel over your face for a few moments to open your pores. Not too hot.

    2) Cleanse with Hydrating Cleansing Milk, wash off thoroughly

    3) With cotton ball, apply Organic Vitamin C Balancing Facial Toner

    4) Apply just a little Organic Vitamin C Revitalizing Eye Cream around your eyes

    5) Massage Organic Vitamin C Renewal Facial Cream all over your face

    6) Finish off with Vitamin C Moisture Plus Lotion with SPF 15 to protect your skin from the sun

Exfoliate then Mask after Cleansing but before Toning

Exfoliate: If you have sensitive skin, exfoliate once a week. If your skin is oily, exfoliate up to 2x weekly. The top layer of skin forms a protective barrier against the environment. Removing too many cells could increase loss of moisture, cause sensitivity, dryness, %26amp; irritation

Mask: Regular cleansing removes surface dirt, but only a facial mask will actually draw out impurities from beneath top layers of the epidermis. Mask help stimulate blood circulation %26amp; leave your skin smoother and softer and helps exfoliate dead skin cells and unclog pores so toning, hydrating %26amp; protecting products work effectively. Generally 1-2x per week for dry skin, 2-3x per week if skin is normal or combination, 3-5x per week for oily skin.

hope this all helps - Best wishes ;v

    Good face wash for nighttime?

I don't have severe acne, but I do have the occasional zit. My nose is my main problem area, and it's all bumpy all over it. I really want to get rid of it! There are so many products, and so many people recommend so many different ones! I want to use it at night, so that in the morning, my skin gets clear, since I don't have time in the morning for a face wash. My skin doesn't usually get very oily, but since it's summer, my breakouts increase!

Please help! Products that can be easily found in Walmart or Walgreens would be appreciated, and nothing way expensive! $20 is my limit.

    Acne face wash question?

I've tried lots of different things, and none have worked very well. I tried Proactive and that truly didn't work for me. And I tried AcneFree but that didn't work very good either (it worked better than proactive though). I was just wondering if there are any non- prescription face washes out there that are good for clearing up your face.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!Acne face wash question?
I really like Clean and Clear personally but if you need something stronger than that, try reading this guide to clearing up acne.

    http://www.viewpoints.com/Acne-Blemish-T鈥?/a>Acne face wash question?
Your acne could be due to your hormones fluctuating in which case only time will heal. To help keep your acne minimal I'd suggest using Clearasil 3 in 1 Cleanser with 2% Salicylic Acid (which helps to dry out existing pimples and keep pores clean to prevent new ones) twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed. You could try any topical cream from Clearasil and apply that after you wash in the evening before bed. If this doesn't work for you, see a doctor. They will begin by prescribing you a stronger topical cream to be apply once daily at first and then twice daily. You wash with a non-medicated soap, (like just a bar of dove or something) and then pat the area dry with a towel and apply the cream.

If that step doesn't work you'd be put on some form of oral medication but let's hope your acne isn't THAT bad :P

Do not pick at your acne because this will cause scarring and could potentially spread the acne.

Drink a lot of water because water makes skin healthy!!

I hope this helps you in your fight against acne!
If nothing seems to be working and you followed it 100% I'd see a Dermatologist.

My kids have been on proactive and when they skip a step or two the acne returns.

We've just ordered skin ID for our daughter who swears Proactive isn't working. She was using Clearasil - the wash and spot treatment and it cleared her up -

BUT only when she is consistent. - that is the best advice with acne -

I work for a dermatologist and we advise patients to use anything by neutrogena for over the counter twice a day am, pm. if this doesn't work a good RX is retin-a. i see patients who have improved significantly!! And acne takes time up to 6-8 weeks until you see improvements so don't get discouraged.
i suffer with Acne, but I use duac cream, and oxytetracycline tabs, but they are perscribed from a doctor. As far as face wash goes, i would recommend st. ives apricot scrub.
neutrogena works really well. try using a different makeup too--bare minerals...and try washing your face every now and then with burts bees apricot scrub
you need to just keep useing proactive 2 times a day morning and night for mabey a couple weeks and it works perfect dont stop useing proactive trust me
proactive works u just have to use it a while, and sometimes it just hormonal problems that cause acne.

try a mask with green clay

Looking for new face wash, what do i use on my face?

I have no idea how to treat my face. I've used face wash and moisturizer but what is a mask for? i see many 3 step products with a toner, what is a toner for? I just don't know much about how to take care of my skin will someone please advise me on what are good products for my skin.

I have sensitive, normal skin, oily at times dry at others and very rarely break out.

I am VERY low maintenance so would prefer to not have many steps in keeping my skin looking healthy. Also, i am 21 because i know that does matter some. Thanks, to all who reply.Looking for new face wash, what do i use on my face?
a mask is like to leave

on your face til it hardens,

and it will draw out all the

dirt and oil on your face.

    you know in little cartoons

    when the older sister wears

a green mask on her face and

    the boy says ';you're a monster!';

    that's it.

    toner removes makeup and cleanser

that you missed. it's good for oilier skin

    because it also minimizes pores.

it sounds like you have combination

skin, like me. i don't like to have a whole

ton of steps either - maybe just use a cleanser

like aveeno? it's less targeted toward teen acne.

and for a moisturizer try clinique! it's my favorite.

i use this it works amazing, smells amazing and its one step i got it at CVS but u can get it anywhere (target wallmart, ect.) im 13 and i have no breakouts anywere on my face and its an oily normal dry mix lol like u! so this is good cuz and a mask is just like an extra deep cleaning treatment (it might dry out ur skin) and a toner helps bring ur pores back to a normal size because when u use a face wash ur pores get big to let the soap in and when u keep them open u get blackheads (ew) using a toner is very important to close pores and prevent blackheads . hope this helped!
Try using Acne - Free that is what i use you can get it at any convenience store. It is cheap and it got rid of almost all my zits in one night. It gets rid of pimples without drying up your face. This is what it looks like

    Best Face Wash?

I am going to Wal-Mart this afternoon and i wanted to know what face wash to buy.

    I have used:

    Clearisil Ultra Pads

    Clearisil Daily Pore Cleansing Pads

    Purpose Face Wash

    Neutrogena Blackhead Wipes

    Neutrogena Wave

Dove Skin Pillows (and they work kinda good)

    Dove Skin Vitalizer

    Acne free

Clean and Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub

    I want it to:

    Help moisturize my skin

    Prevent and clear cystic pimples

    Clear the most stubborn blackheads

Keep pores from getting too oily and clogged.

It doesn't need to be over 10 dollars

Thanks so much for your time and help!!!!Best Face Wash?
clearisil hates me. i never use it.

ive had acne for over 4 years.i get cystic pimples and regular ones and usually have very oily skin. it took a lot of time to find the right combintion but this is what i do each night:

wash with Clean and clear morning burst (the orange one with beads)

put Sea Breaze astringent on a cotton pad and rub whole face (its kind of like a light acid cleansor, it helps blackheads too)

spread Benzaclin (prescription) over my whole face

and use Neutrogena spot treatment for each pimple

when im going out, i just use the face wash, astringent, and then Clean and Clear morning burst shine control moisterizer (green cap)

but yea. clean%26amp;clear morning burst (orange) is definately my favorite. but it has to be the one with little beads for scrubbing(with the flip cap not the pump)

if youre not sure i can send you links to pictures of each thing, acne SUCKS and i feel for you. so yea. hope i helped!Best Face Wash?
Honestly, the more money you spend, the better your skin will look. I use ProActiv and it's only $24.95 for a 30 Day Kit. In that kit, you get a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer--they also throw in a free refining mask. This stuff not only clears your skin but it also improves the way it looks and feels. I wasn't into spending a lot of money on facial cleansers but then when nothing was working, I bought ProActiv and trust me it's changed my life.

It's only $15 more than you want to spend and you get all three steps! It's worth it--try it!!! If it doesn't work within the 30 days, you can bring it back and get ALL your money back. Try it!!!
i use cetaphil, and i love it. its gental, oil free, and it deep cleanses your face. just use it and then use a topical acne medicine containing benzoyl peroxide (like clearasil) theres no need to use a harsh face wash PLUS a topical cream.
Clerisil has never worked for me either. What really works is nuetrogena acne wash. I am using it and it works so fast!
